Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

Every year the city dyes the river green one week prior to St. Patrick’s Day to kick off the celebration. After the river dyeing, there is a St. Patrick’s Day parade, which usually starts at Balbo Drive and ends at Monroe Street, winding its way through downtown Chicago.

In addition to the parade, there are plenty of other events and activities to enjoy throughout the day. Many pubs and restaurants offer Irish-themed menus and drink specials, while live music and entertainment can be found in various venues throughout the city. Enjoy yourself on this festival day! Nobody does better than Chicago!

Cherry Blossoms at the Science and Industry Campus

Enjoy the cherry blossoms blooming at the Museum of Science & Industry campus in Jackson Park. See the museum’s Columbian Garden comes alive with a colorful display of flowers, making it a must-visit destination for nature lovers and botany enthusiasts as they put on a show. We strongly recommend getting there early to beat the crowd, and if you want to enjoy mother nature a little bit more with each other have a picnic at the garden afterward, slow down and take in the beauty. After all Spring is a great reminder of a new beginning and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do every year.

Garden of the Phoenix

The Japanese Garden is a serene oasis located on the south side of Chicago. The garden is home to several cherry blossom trees that burst into bloom in the spring, creating a stunning display of pink and white flowers. The garden was designed by Japanese landscape architect Yasuo Matsui and is modeled after the traditional Japanese strolling garden. It features a pond, waterfall, bridge, and teahouse. The Osaka Garden is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy a cup of tea and soak in the peaceful atmosphere. The teahouse is decorated with traditional Japanese artwork and serves authentic Japanese tea and sweets.

Take an Architecture River Cruise

It’s no secret Chicago is known for its architecture. Taking an architecture river boat tour in Chicago is a wonderful way to see the city and feel that fresh spring air, if not only for a moment before it begins to snow.

The tour typically lasts for about 90 minutes and is conducted by knowledgeable guides who provide detailed information about the city’s history and architecture. As you cruise along the river, you’ll see iconic Chicago landmarks such as the Wrigley Building, the Tribune Tower, and the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower). The tour takes you through the historic downtown area, showing you the city’s cultural heritage. If you want a more private tour, consider booking a private boat tour for a special date night. Private tours offer a more intimate experience with just your partner and the guide. You can bring your own food and drinks onboard, creating a perfect opportunity for a romantic picnic on the water.
